Man dead after hours-long standoff situation in East Nashville
SUMMARY: A standoff in East Nashville ended tragically with the death of 31-year-old Michael Ridley from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident began early Saturday morning when Ridley, driving a stolen vehicle, shot at an officer before fleeing. Hours later, police received reports of him threatening two individuals inside a home. Following a gunshot heard from within, police and SWAT teams attempted to negotiate with Ridley for approximately 10 hours before entering the home and finding him deceased. Ridley had outstanding felony warrants and reportedly expressed a desire not to return to jail and threatened suicide.
A man is dead following a standoff situation with SWAT and Metro Nashville police Saturday morning at the scene of a shooting near the Historic Edgefield neighborhood.

4 dogs on SOS list at McMinn Regional Humane Society
SUMMARY: The McMan Regional Humane Society is urgently seeking homes for four dogs on the SOS list, who must be adopted by Monday morning to avoid euthanasia.
