SUMMARY: The Bay St. Louis Community Hall hosted an event featuring restaurants serving up delicious signature dishes. The event was organized by the Tourism Bureau and aimed to promote local events and support Hancock County’s tourism efforts. The event included 22 food vendors, a jazz band, raffle, and silent auction. Last year, $7,000 was raised, and this year they hoped to double that amount. All proceeds from the event went towards supporting the Tourism Bureau’s efforts to promote more local events.

SUMMARY: Phase 2 of the Bayou Lacroix Boat Launch improvement project has commenced in Bay St. Louis, following the successful completion of the initial boat ramp a few years ago. This phase includes extending the bulkhead and installing a new kayak launch, enhancing access for kayakers and anglers. The $150,000 project is funded by the Mississippi Outdoor Stewardship Trust, prompted by the need for amenities after Hurricane Katrina. The boat launch, frequently utilized by residents, will facilitate easier access to the Bay of St. Louis and the Jordan River, expected to be completed within four weeks, just in time for summer.
