$27 million hiking trail proposed in Tupelo

Designed to accommodate hikers, runners, bikers, and parents with strollers, the Greenway would connect various areas of the city, offering convenient stops along the route. While the project holds potential for transforming the community, it still requires city council approval and funding through federal grants, ensuring no taxpayer dollars are utilized. The initiative is aimed at elevating Tupelo as a recreational destination.

It’s a proposal that would give the city of Tupelo a 9-mile walking track all the way across the city.
