$21,000 reward offered in Mississippi homicide case
SUMMARY: Carroll County, Mississippi authorities are offering a $21,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the 2015 homicide of Kenneth “Kim” Daves, found at his family-owned K&M Grocery store. Investigators have developed many leads but need further help to solve the case. Sheriff Clint Walker requested the Board of Supervisors to approve a $10,000 reward to augment the $11,000 already offered by the Daves family. Smith County man charged in murder-for-hire plot
SUMMARY: A Smith County man, Randall Hutchinson, was arrested on June 23 for a murder-for-hire plot. Sheriff Joel Houston stated Hutchinson attempted to flee town and had contracted an individual to kill two Smith County residents for $12,000, supplying them with a firearm, gloves, and ammunition. Swift actions by investigators prevented the potentially tragic outcome. Hutchinson faces two felony charges for attempted murder and his bond is set at $100,000. The sheriff assured there is no ongoing threat to public safety, and the case is now with the District Attorney's Office for prosecution. The investigation is still ongoing.

One arrested, one wanted for fatal North Jackson shooting
SUMMARY: In Jackson, Mississippi, a 19-year-old named Cameron Lee has been arrested by the Jackson Police Department (JPD) and charged with murder following a homicide in North Jackson. Police are also searching for another suspect, 19-year-old Martraviois Douglas, known as 55.6 Snupe, in connection to the same shooting as well as a separate murder case. The victim, Roitavious Greenfield, was shot multiple times on Lake Trace Circle and pronounced dead at a hospital. Anyone with information is urged to contact JPD or Crime Stoppers.
