1/16- Friday, showers return late. Arctic Blast moves in next week
SUMMARY: Warmer weather is expected to continue briefly before a significant cold snap arrives next week. Current temperatures are chilly, with highs in the 30s to 45°F across various locations. A weather system developing in the Rockies will bring rain starting Friday, mainly in the evening. Saturday’s high will reach the 60s, but temperatures will drop sharply after the cold front passes. Next week, expect highs in the 30s and wake-up temperatures in the teens and low 20s, with wind chills feeling like single digits. There’s a low chance of snow, particularly near the Gulf Coast, but confidence in forecasts is still developing.
