SUMMARY: On Saturday, expect two rounds of showers and storms, marking it as a severe alert day. The first round will hit early Saturday morning, around 4-6 AM, followed by a brief lull before a second round arrives in the late afternoon and evening. Strong winds (40-50 mph) are a medium threat, with a low possibility of tornadoes and large hail. Heavy rain could lead to flash flooding. Strongest storms are anticipated southward, closer to Nashville and Alabama, although our area may see severe weather too. Conditions will improve by Sunday afternoon. Byron Kirkland-Lundy signs with Lindsey Wilson College football

UPDATE: 1 flown after rollover crash on I-165 in Warren County
SUMMARY: On March 14, Kentucky State Police reported an injury collision on I-165 northbound. Emma Valles, 54, from Bowling Green, entered the highway and crossed lanes, colliding with a commercial vehicle driven by Charles Toll, 62. Valles was flown to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for treatment. In a separate incident, a van rolled onto its side after colliding with a tractor-trailer near exit 5 on the same interstate, prompting a response at 3 p.m. One female occupant was extricated using specialized equipment and later reports indicated she was in stable condition. The investigations are ongoing.

6 Kentucky beats 14 Oklahoma on last second attempt by Otega Oweh
SUMMARY: Otega Oweh led Kentucky to an 85-84 win over Oklahoma in the SEC Tournament quarterfinals with a game-winning lay-up in the final second. This marked the second time Oweh, a former Sooner, defeated his old team with a last-second shot, having done so previously in February. Oweh scored a team-high 27 points and contributed five assists and three steals. Koby Brea added 22 points, and Andrew Carr chipped in 11. Despite 12 turnovers and free throw struggles, Kentucky advanced. Head Coach Mark Pope was without point guard Lamont Butler due to a re-injured shoulder.
