No fans allowed at football game
SUMMARY: The upcoming football game between Macomb High School and South Pike is a major rivalry, but this year it will be closed to the public due to safety concerns following recent incidents. The game, scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. at South Pike’s field, has prompted increased security measures, including additional personnel on campuses and heightened monitoring of student access. Both districts stress the importance of student safety and conflict resolution. While the event will limit revenue, it will be live-streamed for fans. Officials hope this year’s situation serves as a lesson for future events.
Due to safety concerns a rivalry football game will now be held with no spectators.
