2 Black men tortured by Mississippi officers call for toughest sentences

The victims and their attorneys are hoping for maximum penalties to be imposed during this week’s federal court sentencings. Activists and supporters, including “Black Men Against Murder” founder Ted Sutton, are showing their support for the victims. Two of the six defendants will be sentenced on Tuesday, with the remaining four to be sentenced on Wednesday and Thursday.
