SUMMARY: A Nashville man, Matthew Vollmer, allegedly recorded numerous women without their consent using a hidden camera inside an alarm clock. Due to the expired statute of limitations, many victims were unable to pursue charges. In response, the Tennessee legislature introduced the Voyeurism Victim’s Act, which could allow victims to file charges based on when the recordings were discovered, extending the statute of limitations. SUMMARY: SAR County leaders are seeking community input for an updated land plan, SAR 2050, intended to guide future growth in unincorporated areas. The last plan, SAR 2035, was developed in 2010, and rising population and development concerns have prompted the revision. With around 400 square miles of unincorporated land and a population exceeding 60,000, residents are encouraged to participate in the planning process, despite feelings of powerlessness regarding rapid growth. Over 500 residents have already completed the survey, which closes in mid-March, aiming to collect valuable feedback for the county’s long-term development strategy.
