Mardi Gras Tornado Damage in George County
SUMMARY: On Mardi Gras Day 2025, an EF1 tornado touched down in eastern George County, confirmed by the National Weather Service shortly after 7 PM. The tornado, characterized by peak winds of 100 mph and a narrow path of only 30 yards wide, caused significant damage in just one minute.
