SUMMARY: Evening weather update: Mississippi and Alabama experienced a beautiful day that is expected to continue into the next day, with clear skies and no rainfall for at least 24 hours. Overnight will remain clear, but severe storms are forecasted to develop to the west on Sunday night. By Monday evening, storms may turn severe with potential heavy rain and possible tornadoes, especially west of I-55. A level two out of five risk for severe weather covers Eastern Mississippi, with Western Alabama at level one. Threats include low chances of tornadoes, localized flooding, large hail, and high winds. The weather should clear by Thanksgiving with cooler temperatures and sunshine.

SUMMARY: Tuesday morning is calm and cool, with temperatures in the upper 50s by 9 a.m. and highs reaching the lower 80s by 3 p.m. Lots of sunshine is forecasted, and temperatures will drop to the lower 60s by 8 p.m., settling into the upper 50s overnight. Wednesday will see temperatures jump to 86ยฐF, with highs reaching the upper 80s through Saturday. A cold front may bring slight relief on Sunday, but no rain is expected. Meridian is facing a rainfall deficit, with worsening drought conditions in parts of Alabama and Mississippi. Tropical Storm Oscar is moving towards the central Atlantic.

New trial motion denied for Carly Gregg
