SUMMARY: Old Miss and Mississippi State baseball teams kicked off SEC opening weekend with Old Miss hosting South Carolina. However, they were unable to capitalize on that momentum and ended up losing the game 6-2. Regardless of the loss, Old Miss still won the series. Next, they will face Southern Miss. The game featured the rebels sporting green hats in the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, but ultimately, their bats couldn’t get hot enough for a victory.
