10/11 Highlights: Meridian v. Oak Grove
SUMMARY: In a thrilling matchup, the 7A Meridian Oak Grove Warriors dominated the Wildcats with a victory of 45-30, improving their record to 24-1. The game kicked off explosively, with Kellen Hall guiding the Warriors’ offense and connecting with Anen Lewis for significant yardage. KJ Jenkins later showcased his speed, scoring a touchdown and extending the lead to 31-1 before halftime. Despite a strong effort from Wildcats’ Cara Darian Wilson, who made some good plays, Oak Grove’s defense held strong. The Warriors began their district playoff campaign on a high note with this impressive win.

SUMMARY: Tuesday morning is calm and cool, with temperatures in the upper 50s by 9 a.m. and highs reaching the lower 80s by 3 p.m. Lots of sunshine is forecasted, and temperatures will drop to the lower 60s by 8 p.m., settling into the upper 50s overnight. Wednesday will see temperatures jump to 86°F, with highs reaching the upper 80s through Saturday. A cold front may bring slight relief on Sunday, but no rain is expected. Meridian is facing a rainfall deficit, with worsening drought conditions in parts of Alabama and Mississippi. Tropical Storm Oscar is moving towards the central Atlantic.
