1 dead, 1 hurt in shooting at Melbourne park, police say

A shooting Saturday night at Eddie Lee Taylor Park in Melbourne left one man dead and another man in critical condition, according to the police. At 7:24 p.m., gunshots were heard near the entrance of the park, which sent both crowds running in all directions, police said. Two adult had been shot, police said. One man was transported to the hospital via car. That man was last listed in critical condition. Police said a second person was found shot in the parking lot. He was transported to the hospital, where he died. His name was not released.

Firefighter injured after Miami Gardens storage facility blaze
