ISIS-linked Houston man indicted, planned 9/11 style terrorist attack | Texas

SUMMARY: Anas Said, a 28-year-old from Houston, was indicted and arrested for attempting to provide material support to ISIS. Following the October 7 Hamas attacks, Said allegedly planned a terrorist attack on military recruiting centers in Houston and expressed intentions to harm the Israeli community and former President George W. Bush. Investigators found evidence of his ongoing support for ISIS, including propaganda creation and explosive-making research. He had been under FBI surveillance since 2017 for viewing ISIS literature. Accused of being a national security threat, he faces a maximum 20-year sentence if convicted.

Texas officers apprehend human smugglers, rescue unaccompanied children | Texas
