⚠️ Major Mardi Gras Changes⚠️
SUMMARY: In preparation for Mardi Gras 2025, two notable parade changes have been announced. The Crew of Alla has switched their parade to Wednesday night, replacing a slot previously held by Nicks. This adjustment aims to minimize late nights for riders and city personnel. Meanwhile, the Crew of Cleopatra is altering their route from Magazine and Jefferson to begin at Chapitas for safety reasons, allowing for new tandem floats and more participants. However, local businesses along the new route anticipate a potential decrease in revenue due to this change. For additional details, visit WWL Plus.

Thursday 10pm Tropical Update: TS Sara likely to dissipate this weekend
SUMMARY: Out of the 11 named storms this season, 11 have become hurricanes, but Tropical Storm Sara is not expected to strengthen much further. It will mainly bring heavy rain to Central America, particularly Honduras, and then move toward Belize and the Yucatan. Due to its proximity to land, further intensification is unlikely, though a brief window for strengthening exists if it moves away from the coast. The storm is expected to dissipate by Sunday, with no Gulf of Mexico impact, though its remnants may affect forecasts later next week.
Chief Meteorologist Chris Franklin says Tropical Storm Sara likely to dissipate this weekend on Sunday as it starts to move into the Yucatán.

The latest forecast and analysis on Sara
SUMMARY: Tropical Storm Sara is expected to remain a tropical storm throughout its life, with limited development due to unfavorable conditions. It is located just off the coast of northeastern Honduras, with heavy rainfall expected in the region, especially in Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, Belize, and the Yucatán Peninsula. The storm could cause mudslides and significant flooding. As it moves over land, it will lose strength and dissipate before reaching the Gulf of Mexico. While it may bring increased humidity and rainfall to areas like Florida, it is unlikely to reform or strengthen due to unfavorable water temperatures and wind shear.
Meteorologist Devon Lucie breaks down the latest track and forecast strength of Sara as it churns off the coast of Honduras and analyzes why it could still bring some impacts to Louisiana

Louisiana politicians who may be in Trump's cabinet
SUMMARY: Several Louisiana politicians are being considered for positions in President-elect Donald Trump’s cabinet. State education superintendent Cade Brumley is a strong candidate for Secretary of Education, having previously served as superintendent of the Jefferson and Doo Parish school systems. Another potential contender is former Governor Bobby Jindal, who has experience with the US Department of Health and Human Services and served as Louisiana’s governor from 2008 to 2016. Jindal also held the position of assistant secretary at Health and Human Services under President George W. Bush. Both figures may seek broader platforms for their initiatives.
