SUMMARY: Cock of the Walk, a restaurant in Ridgeland, voluntarily closed due to department concerns related to a broken pipe, insect and rodent droppings, and improper food storage. The closure followed claims by owner Bill Prisock that a disgruntled employee, fired after an altercation, made online threats and brought these issues to light. After comprehensive inspections and corrective measures by the Mississippi Health Department, the restaurant has been cleared to reopen. Health inspectors spent considerable time ensuring all problems were resolved, allowing the establishment to continue its operations.
