Organizations help Salvation Army amidst dire need for food donations
SUMMARY: Food pantries along the Gulf Coast urgently need donations, especially during the high-demand summer months. For Juneteenth, local organizations, including Delta Sigma Theta sorority and the Gulfport Juneteenth Celebration, collaborated to support the Salvation Army's depleted food supplies. Delta Sigma Theta, known for their community service, promptly responded to the call for help. Their combined efforts resulted in significant food contributions to the Salvation Army. The initiative reflects Juneteenth's spirit of community service. Moving forward, more community involvement is encouraged to meet ongoing food pantry needs.
