Additionally, there is exciting news about the merger of Canadian Pacific and Kansas City railroads, as well as Amtrak's extension to Fort Worth. Don't miss out on this family-friendly and educational event on Saturday.

More than 20 model train vendors will showcase their collections. Event starts at 9am. Grayson Culpepper entertains at 10am.

Overnight lane closure in Madison County

Wiggins firefighter pinned in fire engine accident released from hospital

SUMMARY: A fire truck crash in Wiggins injured a firefighter, who was responding to a single-vehicle accident. Around midnight, the Wiggins Fire Department's engine rolled multiple times en route, trapping a firefighter underneath. The firefighter was rescued using the jaws of life and transported to a hospital, where she has been discharged and is expected to fully recover. The person involved in the initial single-vehicle accident was also freed and was uninjured. Fire Chief Steve Purvis provided this information.
