MPSD Festival of the Arts preview
SUMMARY: The district is hosting its Annual Festival of the Arts on April 23rd at The Max from 5 PM to 7:30 PM. Students from preK-12 will showcase their artwork, including choirs, percussion, band, theater, and dance performances. Food trucks will be available, and the event is free and open to the community. Parking will be available in the garage, with a trolley running if needed. The district thanks Any Given Child Meridian for their support. The event will feature a variety of art disciplines, including 2D and 3D art, ceramics, and more, highlighting the students' talents and hard work.

Capitol police arrest bank robbery suspect
SUMMARY: Capitol police have arrested a 46-year-old man, David Barret, in connection to a bank robbery at Trustmark bank on State Street. Barret demanded money from the teller and made off with over $700. He was apprehended and his vehicle and stolen money were recovered by the police.

Jones College graduate releasing first single
