Gluckstadt police chief on deadly DUI crash investigation

Canton man sentenced for selling fentanyl in Madison County

Surveillance by and Gluckstadt in August and November 2023 revealed multiple drug transactions between Evans and confidential informants. Evans had a history of convictions, an April 2024 conviction for firearm possession and three other felonies for various crimes. Madison and Rankin County District Attorney Bubba Bramlett emphasized the seriousness of fentanyl-related crimes and noted Evans' extensive criminal record as factors in the harsh sentence. Bramlett stressed the importance of deterring fentanyl sales to prevent fatal overdoses.
