Medical center honors its volunteers Thursday

Former award-winning Petal elementary teacher charged with sex crimes against students, officials…

SUMMARY: Former Pedal Elementary School teacher Tyler SH turned himself in to and is facing multiple charges related to sex crimes and inappropriate conduct with . The charges include touching a child for lustful purposes and disseminating sexually explicit material. SH was an award-winning teacher and is accused of providing alcohol and marijuana to teenagers at his residence in Pedal. The investigation started with an allegation from a concerned parent and there are currently three male victims identified. Pedal school district superintendent Dr. Matthew Dylan stated that the safety and welfare of students is the top priority. SH was booked in Forest County Jail with a bond set at $125,000. Further details will be provided at 6:00 PM, when the school district alerted the police and additional information from the Pedal police chief.
