SUMMARY: A 70--long steel cockroach, crafted to closely resemble an American cockroach using 3D imaging, will be sunk into the of Mexico to serve as an artificial reef. Spearheaded by Bruno Milanese of Bay Pest Control and the Mississippi Fishing , the aims to create a unique reef structure to marine and promote fishing. The initiative, which involved the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, took six months to complete and includes welding the cockroach to a 150-foot tug boat. The project supports the Mississippi Artificial Reef Plan and aims to mitigate ecological sustained from overharvesting and Hurricane .
