4 tornadoes touched down in Mississippi during latest round of severe storms

Third suspect arrested after deadly shooting at Utica nightclub

SUMMARY: A third , Anthony Brown, 48, was and charged with murder and aggravated assault a fatal shooting at a Utica nightclub on Sunday. The incident left Jason Harris, 41, dead and three others . Brown, also injured in the shooting, was detained alongside Eric Dixon, 42, and Joseph Crum, 34, facing similar charges. The Sheriff's Office (HCSO) believes an altercation led to the shooting. Investigators found firearms and casings at the scene and are open to more arrests as their inquiry proceeds. Witnesses are encouraged to contact HCSO with any information.

Flowood man sentenced to 8 years in federal prison for possessing child pornography

SUMMARY: Timothy Daniel Steele, a 26-year-old man from Flowood, has been to over eight years in prison for possession of child pornography. Steele, also known as Timothy Daniel Gantenbein, was found guilty of thousands of images and that depicted adult engaged in sexual activities with minors. He was indicted in July 2021, pleaded guilty, and is now ordered to pay $324,876.39 in restitution to the victims, along with a $5000 fine under the Amy, Vicky, and Andy Child Pornography Victim Assistance Act. After serving his sentence, Steele must register as a sex offender and will be under a lifetime of supervised release. The case was a collaborative effort between Homeland Security Investigations and the Flowood Department, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Glenda R. Haynes leading the prosecution.
